Terms & Conditions
FINAL DETAILS
Event details including timings, final numbers and menu requirements must be forwarded to the Group Functions Manager no later than fourteen (30) days prior to the event. Please make us aware of any dietary requirements in advance. If you decide to add more guests prior to your event, we can accommodate accordingly, and balance may be paid on the day of the function.
PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
· A $500 deposit is required at the time of booking.
· Full payment must be made no less than fourteen (14) days before the event date.
· There will be 50% refund of the deposit for cancellations made within Twenty-eight (28) to Twenty-one (21) days of the event date.
· There will be 25% refund of the deposit for cancellations made within Twenty (20) to Fifteen (15) days of the event date.
· There will be no refund of the deposit for cancellations made within fourteen (14) days of the event date.
· All cancellations must be made in writing by the client/hirer to the Group Functions Manager.
DAMAGE AND DECORATIONS
· The client/hirer is financially liable for any and all damages to the truck whether sustained through their own actions, or through the actions of their guests, contractors, sub-contractors.
· No styling or decorations to be placed on the truck under any circumstances.
COUNCIL APPROVAL
· Should the Mutts Wagon require council approval, this falls to the responsibility of the client/hirer. The Client/hirer will need to confirm council approval within fourteen (14) days of the event date, and will be held responsible for any payments.
INSURANCE AND PUBLIC LIABILITY
· Under no circumstances will Varsity Group take responsibility for any items brought into the venue by the client/hirer or their guests.
· It is the client/hirer’s responsibility to ensure the security of their possessions as well as those of their guests.
· Varsity Group hereby advises the client/hirer that Varsity Group and all Varsity venue locations will not take responsibility for lawsuits or damaged incurred by anyone.
COVID-19 AND GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS
· In the event, that client/hirer’s confirmed function booking is cancelled due to government restrictions, Varsity Group will endeavour to reschedule your booking to a later date. This date is to be agreed upon by the client/hirer and Varsity Group Functions Manager.
· If the client/hirer and Varsity Group Functions Manager cannot agree on a rescheduled date, Varsity Group will provide the client/hirer a Gift Voucher to the value of the pre-paid booking with a 12 months expiry from date issued.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
· By confirming your booking via email and paying your $500 deposit you are acknowledging that you have read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions.
· If you have any questions or concerns regarding these terms and conditions please contact the Group Functions Manager prior to your function date.
ABOUT THE TRUCK
ELECTRICITY REQUIREMENTS
The Mutts Wagon can either be fully self-supported. It has its own 6.5KVA generator which can run for up to 8 hours. This will create a small amount of noise and air pollution. The Foos truck has its own 20m 15 amp extension cords which can be plugged in on site if power is available during the truck operation. (Preferred option)
WATER REQUIREMENTS
The Food truck has its own 100 litre capacity water tank. This is sufficient in most cases for a day’s operation. Access to water after this period would be required to fill the tank.
WASTE WATER STORAGE REQUIREMENTS
The Mutts Wagon has its own 110 litre waste water tank, along with a procedure for its removal and cleaning once it has returned to its home site.
PACKAGING AND RECYCLING
The Mutts Wagon will be using packaging that is fully recyclable and biodegradable. The products used are paper and cardboard product from Bunzl and Detpak, both known for their commitment to sustainability in this area.
RUBBISH REMOVAL MANAGEMENT PLAN
The Mutts Wagon is committed to appropriate removal of rubbish from the site where it operates, along with a procedure for its removal and cleaning once it has returned to its home site.
STORAGE OF BOTTLED GAS
The varsity l Food Truck utilised 2 x 45kg LPG gas bottles. These are bunded in a separate area of the truck with appropriate tie down straps. Internally the truck has a gas shut down valve.
LOCATION AND HEIGHT OF EXHAUST CANOPY
The Mutts Wagon contains an exhaust canopy. The height at which the vapours are released externally is 3.8metres
